Welcome Back
[edit]Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on pages protected by pending changes. The list of articles awaiting review is located at Special:PendingChanges, while the list of articles that have pending changes protection turned on is located at Special:StablePages.

WikiKitteh of Understanding
[edit]Thank you for your understanding in deciding to withdraw your re-admin request. It shows real maturity.

I came here to basically say the same thing, the kitten did not occur to me. I sincerely hope that after a couple weeks of activity the community comes to its senses and you get your admin bit back without controversy. Chillum 00:42, 28 August 2014 (UTC)
In the meantime I have turned on your rollback right. Chillum 00:43, 28 August 2014 (UTC)

Un-reviewing Geraldine L. Richmond
[edit]Hey BMIcomp,
I stalk Brambleclawx (talk · contribs)'s talk page and was curious as to why you un-reviewed the aforementioned page. Best, Airplaneman ✈ 00:54, 5 September 2014 (UTC)
- That was unintentional, sorry about that and thanks for bringing it to my attention. I've marked it as reviewed again. BMIComp 04:08, 5 September 2014 (UTC)
- No problem. Take care, Airplaneman ✈ 00:42, 10 September 2014 (UTC)
Hello Bmicomp, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I have converted the speedy deletion tag that you placed on Clamtrek to a proposed deletion tag. The speedy deletion criteria are extremely narrow to protect the encyclopedia, and do not fit the page in question. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. GB fan 12:34, 6 September 2014 (UTC)
- Looks like a WP:CSD#A11 to me. Deleted as such.
- You said in the edit summary "Originally tagged WP:A11 but there is no indication it was created by the author or someone they know" so I can only assume you confused this with WP:CSD#G7. If I have misinterpreted this feel free to correct me. Chillum 13:57, 6 September 2014 (UTC)
- I mean, I tagged the article A11 because I've noticed admins will often speedy delete an article with A11 if it's an article that was obviously made up, even if the article doesn't explicitly state that it was. I think it really comes down to your interpretation of A11: "An article which plainly indicates that the subject was invented/coined/discovered by the article's creator or someone they know personally..." (emphasis is mine). The question is what does plainly indicate mean? Can we infer that the subject was coined by the creator, even if it isn't explicitly stated. From what I've seen since my return, that appears to be the consensus among some of the admins. BMIComp 14:18, 6 September 2014 (UTC)
- Ack. I see now I have misinterpreted GB fan's edit summary, it was in fact referring to A11 and not G7. I think I was confused because G11 does not talk about the author stating it was made up, but rather it refers to it plainly indicating that it was made up. I think this goes beyond statement and allows some level of judgment. A quick google of "clamtrek" shows Wikipedia and a few social media sites. It passes the "something we made up after school" test.
- It also lacked any credible claim of significance or importance.
- Since I misinterpreted GB fan when I deleted the page I am more than happy to discuss my delete further with him(thus the ping), though I am personally satisfied that it met the criteria for A11. Chillum 14:22, 6 September 2014 (UTC)
- Chillum, there are two pieces to WP:A11, one is the same as WP:A7, no claim to significance. The article clearly failed that. The other part is that it was "invented/coined/discovered by the article's creator or someone they know personally." This is where I feel the article failed WP:A11. There was no indication that it was made up by the article's creator or someone they know personally. If the criteria didn't have that part it would just be WP:A7. I am not contesting the deletion, just that I do not believe it met the WP:A11 criterion as written. GB fan 19:33, 6 September 2014 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, This image was seemingly uploaded prior to current image polices, Thank you.
However, as part of ongoing efforts to ensure all media on English Wikipedia is correctly licensed and attributed it would be appreciated if you were able to confirm, that it was your own work, by marking it as {{own}}, amending the {{information}} added by a third party, and by changing the license to an appropriate "self" variant. This will assist those reviewing the many many "free" images on commons that have not yet been transfered to Commons. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 17:48, 2 June 2016 (UTC)
